The firm

Advice shaped by coastal pragmatism

Crown & Coast Financial Advice began as a Riceborough practice serving households who wanted pension and retirement conversations without sales theatre. We still work that way.

Origin

The firm took its name from the shoreline near Riceborough and from the idea that good advice should feel steady — like a harbour chart rather than a forecast shouted over noise. Early clients were teachers, nurses, and small-business owners sorting deferred workplace pensions after career moves across Wales and the wider UK.

Today we remain an advice-led consultancy: fact-finds, written recommendations, and clear fees. We do not manage discretionary portfolios in-house; where ongoing investment management is needed, we explain the options and refer with full disclosure.

How we work

Every regulated recommendation follows a fact-find, a risk and capacity discussion, and a written letter you can keep. We prefer fewer clients and fuller notes over rushed product conversations.

Values we hold to

  • Plain language over jargon when explaining drawdown, wrappers, and cover.
  • Fees agreed before advice work begins.
  • Honest boundaries — we say when a solicitor, accountant, or another specialist is the right next call.
  • Respect for family constraints: caring duties, uneven earnings, and property-heavy estates common in Wales.
